We are excited to announce an additional CDN$192,961 in cleantech grant funding from the Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), bringing us to a total of CDN$4.05 million in funding from SDTC.
Continue reading to learn more about the SDTC and how we plan to use this additional funding to achieve our vision to put a RYSE product on every window shade.
What Is SDTC
SDTC is a Canadian organization that helps clean technology companies develop and deploy competitive, environmentally friendly solutions to help solve some of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges: climate change, air pollution, water contamination, and more.
The primary way SDTC achieves this is by providing funding and knowledge to companies like ours to help us make the biggest impact in the global market.
On behalf of the entire team at RYSE, we are extremely proud to be a part of the 450 companies that the SDTC has invested over $1.28 billion in to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an estimated 19.3 megatonnes per year.
How We Will Use The Funding
This additional funding from the SDTC will be used to continue to support our pilot projects into Quadreal, The ANNEX Hotel, and Eureka Hub.
Since we first launched, we knew it was imperative for RYSE to create strategic partnerships in the commercial space, and this additional funding will help us continue to build on some of the key relationships that we’ve built with our first partners.
Take a look at what these partners have to say about RYSE:

Our vision is to put an RYSE product on every window shade. We want people to think of RYSE when they think of smart shades.
RYSE SmartShade, being an automated solution, just makes life easier – everything is done for you, so you can maintain a comfortable lifestyle. For example, you can have your shades open every morning at 8 AM to help you wake up and allow that morning light to brighten up your morning. Or, if you’re sitting on the sofa for an afternoon movie, you can easily tell Google or Alexa to lower the shades to prevent glare. It just makes life more comfortable and easy.
